None theless, it was he, Felix, who had made her unhappy in the firstplace; and the sense that he could blame himself added tohis misery, his sense of panic.
But I won't tellanyone. Poor poor Daddy, he loved her so. She really couldn't face another evening ofher mother being tense and Romilly being smug. But honestly, I think we'd justbe digging ourselves an ever-deepening hole.
